Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and drawings for plumbing system layouts, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using clamps, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges

Hourly Pay

Salary Range: $36.08 – $38.77/hr (based on 2025 collective agreement Journeyperson hourly rate)
